FAQ

Questions bookers actually ask.

How budgets, fees, timescales and availability really work when you source entertainment through ShowSelect.

Does ShowSelect confirm fees automatically?

No. ShowSelect only ever indicates whether an act is likely to sit within your budget. Actual fees are negotiated and confirmed by the Nightwig booking desk against your specific date, venue and requirements, and given to you in writing.

How long does it take to get availability back?

Most enquiries get a first response within one to three working days. Acts with agents or management can take longer, particularly around festival season and December. Urgent dates should be flagged in your brief so the desk can prioritise them.

What if I already know exactly who I want?

Use the 'I know who I want' route. Name the act, add the event details and send it straight to the booking desk. You can also list acceptable alternates in priority order so we can keep moving if your first choice is unavailable.

What if my first choice isn't available?

The desk will tell you as soon as we know and propose alternatives that fit the same brief and budget. Those alternatives appear on your enquiry so nothing gets lost in email.

Is there a minimum budget?

There is no hard minimum, but the more realistic your budget, the better the shortlist. If a budget is unlikely to secure what you've described, ShowSelect will say so rather than quietly recommending acts that will decline.

How is ShowSelect paid?

Nightwig earns a booking fee on confirmed bookings, disclosed as part of the quote you approve. There is no charge for searching, shortlisting or requesting availability.

What happens about contracts and cancellations?

Contracting runs through the Nightwig booking desk, including deposits, cancellation terms and any technical or hospitality rider. Terms are shared with you before you commit to anything.

Is the talent information on result cards guaranteed?

No. Every result card is a snapshot generated for your search, with the sources behind each claim shown so you can judge it. Anything we cannot source is marked as requiring confirmation rather than guessed at.

Still got a question?

Send it to the booking desk and a human will answer it.
